Black Lives Matter Phoenix Metro is an inclusive, abolitionist collective of community members on occupied Akimel O'odham and Pee Posh territory, also known as Phoenix, Arizona. They focus not only on dismantling white supremacy and abolishing police/prisons but also helping communities heal from generations of trauma and grow stronger.

Since 1919, the Maricopa County Branch of the NAACP has been fulfilling the promise of equal rights for all people by fighting for and addressing civil rights issues in Maricopa County. Today, their branch is proud to carry on the goals and objectives of the NAACP National Office and continues to be active in advocating equality for all citizens. Over the years, the Maricopa County Branch of NAACP has made great strides to increase its membership and to advance their mission to ensure the political, educational, social and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate race-based discrimination.

Founded in 2013, Poder in Action (previously Center for Neighborhood Leadership), focuses on leadership development, systems change and moving local public policy. Poder in Action is led by organizers who began as volunteers within the organization and created programs based on their personal experience with injustice in the immigration, criminal justice, and education systems. Each program builds community power by centering those who are most impacted by systemic oppression.
